Dr Obiora Nkwonta, DDS

A graduate of the prestigious Howard University College of Dentistry class of 2001, while in University Dr Obiora earned numerous academic and clinical awards culminating his induction into the OMICRON KAPPA UPSILON(Pi Pi chapter) an elite National Honor Dental Society. He is also actively involved with other associations which include; American Dental Association, King County Dental Society, and the Washington State Dental Association.

Dr Obiora Nkwonta was born in Nigeria and moved to the United States in 1982, where he was encouraged by his father to pursue dentistry. He obtained an architectural degree from the University of Oregon, Eugene in 1989. After several years of architectural practice in Oregon and Washington, he decided that architecture was not his passion, and went back to school to honor his late fathers wish to become a dentist. He has been providing family dental care in the Seattle and greater Rainier valley area ever since. Dr Obiora Nkwonta is a humble family man, married to Vivian C. Nkwonta, and has five loving children.

Both branches of Rainier Dental Center have been providing quality dental care in the Seattle and the greater Rainier valley for over 50 years. Once single establishments themselves; Dr J. B. Thompson established in 1957 and Dr Goldberg established in 1964, the two practices were acquired by Dr Nkwonta in 2002 and 2005 respectively. Rainier Dental Center is committed to keeping this honorable tradition of providing dental care to the community and improving techniques and practices in its field of medicine.
